Come With Me My Love:
This one, also known under the much cooler title of The Haunted Pussy, has a truly fantastic cast! R. Bolla, Vanessa Del Rio, Annie Sprinkle, Nancy Dare, Roger Caine, Michael Gaunt and Ursula Austin? Sign me up! Proving Wishman was never one to be pigeonholed, it plays out as much like a legitimate horror film that just happens to have some XXX content in it more than it does an actual pornographic movie meant to titillate. It would be interesting to know how grindhouse audiences reacted to this film back when it played theaters, as it probably confused the raincoat crowd.
The movie starts with a flashback - the setting is Kenmore City in 1925 and a man and a woman are getting it on. A mysterious man named Randolph (Jeffrey Hurst) heads into the room where the sex is going down and lo and behold, Randolph realizes that his wife is boffing his best buddy. In a true crime of passion he pulls out his pistol and shoots them both dead before turning the gun on himself. Turned on yet? Good.
Fast forward a few years to 1976 and a beautiful girl named Abbie (Ursula Austin) moves into the apartment where the murder took place way back when. In a strange twist of fate, she bears a striking and uncanny resemblance to the woman Randolph killed in the opening scene. Weird things happen shortly after she moves in – sleeping pills magically appear on a table in her living room! When Abbie goes to sleep that night she's freaked out when the ghost of Randolph appears out of the wall of the apartment and starts to get busy with her. The next day, as if nothing had happened (maybe it was all in her head?) Abbie sets out about her business, making and laying many of her new friends in the apartment complex that she now calls home. But everyone that Abbie ends up sleeping with winds up dead, seemingly at the hands of Randolph's horny, jealous ghost. Randolph doesn't even relish the idea of his lady messing around with the sexy female neighbor (Annie Sprinkle) for as soon as she has her way with the new tenant, she too winds up dead when a floating knife stabs her between her giant hooters! Will Abbie be able to break free from the spirit of Randolph? Will she need to call an exorcist? Will the strange cutaways to group sex scenes involving Vanessa Del Rio and R. Bolla make any sense?
Come With Me My Love absolutely feels like a Wishman movie through and through. The narration and dubbed dialogue is a hoot and the music could not be more inappropriate which gives the movie that kind of kookiness that you just can't get on purpose. There are a few scenes with some atmosphere in the movie that do show some directorial flair and the performances, Austin in particular, are pretty good but this is still a cheap exploitation movie and not much here raises it above that level. With that being said, if you set your expectations properly heading into this one it can be a lot of fun - you get ghost humping, electrocution, floating knives, multiple murders, and Vanessa Del Rio's hoo-haw in extreme closeup all packed into a neat and trippy seventy-four minute package! What more do you want? How about someone credited as Bill Yogurt handling sound and A. Tomale as director of photography? Wishman herself is credited as Luigi Manicottale.
Satan Was A Lady:
The second feature on this disc was again directed under the ‘Kenyon Wintel’ alias and teams Wishman up with Annie Spinkle one more time. It also throws sexy little C.J. Laing into the mix along with Sandy Foxx, Bobby Astyr and Bree Anthony to boot.
The movie begins with some nice easy listening music playing over top of a man playing with a woman's perky little nipples and pulling off her stockings. Cut to the couple in bed and we learn that his name is Victor (Ashley Moore) and her name is Claudia (Bree Anthony) and that he's soon to wed this lovely girl. She tells him it's wrong to have sex before the wedding but he persists and he lets his tongue convince her he's right. She soon comes around to his way of thinking! He bones her and then a woman named Terry (Annie Spinkley) shows up. She watches for a bit, and then leaves as the couple finishes off.
Where did Terry go? Back home, to talk to her mother, Ada (Sandy Foxx). That idea gets old fast though and soon she's out the door and on the phone to her boyfriend (Bobby Astyr). They meet up, she strips and exposes her fantastic boobs, and then he cuffs her to the bed and humps her while some crazy boppin' music plays really, really loudly in the background. Bobby's 'oh face' is classic in this one, he looks like he's about to explode.
From there we cut to Claudia wandering around the city taking in the scenery in a local park. As she gets in touch with her environment we hear her internally question her decision to marry Victor. While this is going on, Terry is getting laid again - this time by Victor! Shock of all shocks, we then learn that she and Claudia are sisters. Meanwhile, Claudia and mom are having a heart to heart talk but she chickens out and doesn't tell her about the wedding plans.
To make matters worse for poor Claudia, Victor has just picked up a hottie (C.J. Laing) at the local bar and brought her back to his place. They get drunk and start making out, and soon he's banging her six ways till Sunday. From there he kicks C.J. to the curb and has an intense phone conversation with a woman who could be Claudia or Terry - we don't really know. Terry, meanwhile, is sitting in the park thinking to herself again and she once more decides to tell her mom about the wedding plans. She heads home but is interrupted by her sister wandering around in lingerie, which leads to a great scene where Terry diddles herself to some intense disco music (Annie looks fantastic in this movie). Eventually Claudia tells her mom, then Victor shows up to find his fiancé feeling under the weather. He decides to make her feel better with a hot beef injection and it seems to do the trick. While this is going on, Terry arrives at her boyfriend's place again, and he asks her to go steady. She tells him he's crazy because there's someone else and they get into a really dramatic argument which results in him slapping her around only for romantic music to come in over top of it all as they start to 'make love.'
After everyone gets it on, they all meet up in mom's living room. Someone has spiked Victor's drink and he falls down dead. Or does he? The plot finally thickens, an hour into the movie, and someone has obviously gotten fed up with Victor's philandering ways and decided to put a stop to it. But is he really dead or will he come back from the grave and get sexy in his spectral form? And who poisoned him? Was it Claudia? Terry? Terry's boyfriend? The mom? Everyone is a suspect in the last ten minutes of the movie where wacky organ music and reverse negative photography make you wonder just what the fuck were they thinking!
The IMDB, not always a reliable source for information especially for adult films, does credit the laet Wishman herself with the voice of Terry and Claudia's internal narration and it could very well be her - the accent is there and while there are some effects and reverb applied, it sure sounds like her from the interviews that are available. That's only a little bit of the sweet icing on this tasty, trashy and ridiculous pornographic cake. Some of the most stilted dialogue ever committed to film teams up with a soundtrack that will leave you questioning your tastes in music for a long time to come and the end result is such a complete and utter mess of a movie that you really can't help but get sucked in by the whole sexy supernatural soap opera detective story hijinks. The sex is pretty steamy too, which is a nice quality in a pornographic movie, with Annie Sprinkle completely stealing the show - her scenes stand out quite a bit more than Bree Anthony's do and she just looks like she's having a whole lot more fun.
